48. Live counterculturally.

"A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign."(Matthew 12:39) Jesus' description of the generation of his time, while on earth, would be more precise about this generation. They seem to be stubbornly unconvinced of the truth! But has the Church been infiltrated by their views? Is there uncleanness in the camp of God? 'But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality or of any kind of impurity ... because these are improper for God's holy people ... For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure ... has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you ... for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.'( Ephesians 5:3-6) The Corinthian church was infiltrated by such views and Paul lambasted them because he overheard them saying: "Everything is permissible for me", but he added, 'not everything is beneficial ... I will not be mastered by anything ... The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord and the Lord for the body. Therefore honour God with your body.' (1 Corinthians 6:12-20) This sexual revolution is a lie from the pits of hell because it causes people to defile their mouths and desecrate their bodies. There are even believers who try to find omissions in the word of God to justify their sinful indulgence but they will find themselves outside the Kingdom of God. 'Nothing impure will ever enter it nor will anyone who does anything shameful or deceitful but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.'(Revelation 21:27) 'Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.'(Romans 12:1) Amen.
